Quantum analyzer machine can run on windows 8.1 (64 bit)

One client ask question who concern about the quantum analyzer more detail :

Would you please let me know if the machine will run on windows 8.1 (64 bit)?

 Apparently I have heard that there is a big difference to programmes running on Windows 8 rather that windows 8.1?
